Who Are You Really Trying to Prove Something To?
The fear of running out of money makes you wander like a sheep without a shepherd. On work, fear and the only reason that will carry you.
Colossians 3:23

Who are you really trying to prove something to here? Other than yourself?
I had to ask myself that question when I noticed I was acting only out of fear. Not out of calling. Not out of joy. Out of fear.
The Fastest Way to Money
I wanted to sell. Not because I believed in it, but because I was afraid of ending up with no money. “The fastest way to money”: that was my compass.
And that is exactly where I went astray. Like a sheep that follows the next tuft of grass and doesn’t notice it lost sight of the flock and the shepherd long ago.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way …”
Isaiah 53:6
Do you know that feeling? You know exactly which step comes next. A call. A conversation. A decision. And you can’t take it.
It’s Not the Mind That Blocks You
We think our mind is blocking us. But that isn’t the deepest reason. What holds you back lies deeper. It is your consciousness, your inner eye, which has let itself be clouded by fear.
If you work out of fear, you serve a master who never satisfies you.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
Matthew 6:24
Your work should make your talent shine, not smother it. The fear of being left without money makes you wander. Don’t be a sheep that loses its way. Be one that knows its shepherd’s voice.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:27
You Have Nothing to Prove
I achieved a lot early on, wealth included. And precisely because of that, at some point I stopped wanting it. Wealth is not what the soul hungers for. Whoever wants it doesn’t truly want it. Only the mind wants it.
You don’t need to prove anything to anyone. Not to the world, not to your bank account, not to yourself.
So what’s left? A simple task: helping people turn their big ideas into action. With what you can do. With what you have been given.
And all of it not for money. Not for recognition.
Do it for God.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men …”
Colossians 3:23
